Well i decided to test this port, i see a lot of people talking about it and i wanna test it.
In this case i'm using a PS2 Slim (Model SCPH-77001), a modded memory card with FreeMCBoot and an external hard drive connected through USB (load times may vary). Sadly i don't own a capture card to record component so here's composite with actual correct aspect ratio.
First this port have so many issues, first glitchy audio from the start and delay of the intro, the "How to play" tutorial is messed up as well, Link's ("Break the targets") bonus stage is broken meaning you can't unlock Luigi, and many graphical glitches through this playthrough.
Enough negatives, the game runs at perfect 60 FPS, the control scheme works well with a DualShock 2, the save function works (as you can see with the unlocked characters).
Overrall, it needs more polish but it's really playable, but keep in mind, you need a legally obtained copy of the original game. (I still have my real cartridge of this game).
This is a playthrough with Mario since he was my main in SSB and why not use him for the test, well this is not my first ever playthrough because i've unlocked Jigglypuff and Captain Falcon so i can test how the game saves its data, and i've unlocked Ness at the end of this playthrough.
Note, this is NOT A SKILL DEMONSTRATION, is just a casual playthrough so don't be so harsh.
Disclaimer: I don't own SSB or anything related, all the properties are belong to Nintendo and its owners.
