Unveiling the Mitrich Boards archives, part 7. No talking, no music, no text, no bs. This is the final episode of our boardbuilding archives: the pre-polish sanding. The hull is already sealed with 6-8 coats of marine spar varnish. The process starts with P400 dry sanding of the deck and rails, moving to P800 and P1500 wet sanding of the hull. Back then, we didn't manage to film the varnishing and final polishing days, but we’ll cover those steps in future builds. This episode captures the absolute essence of sanding - it can be as repetitive and boring as it is meditative and fascinating. It’s all about the attitude.
