Baltimore City Councilman Mark Conway speaks out after losing his position as chairman of the Public Safety Committee, saying he believes the decision was retaliation for his push to give the city’s inspector general greater access to records. Conway joined The C4 and Bryan Nehman Show on Monday and said he appreciates the support he had received, but added that the situation is not about him. "I believe we have to do everything we can to make sure that the Inspector General has what she needs to complete her investigation to do her job," Conway said. "That is how government should work... but we have watched the council, unfortunately, shirk its responsibilities multiple times."
