This time, I was officially leaving Chiang Mai for my next stop—Bangkok. First, I returned the motorcycle that had been with me all this time, then stopped by a massage parlor next door to relax, followed by a visit to the Ganesha Temple near the Chiang Mai Arcade. With some time before departure, I wandered around a nearby shopping mall. I originally just wanted to grab a bite to eat and enjoy the air conditioning, but the more I shopped, the more interesting Thai shopping malls seemed. Each level of the parking lot led directly into the mall; there were banks, real estate agencies, and even a miniature train carrying tourists between floors. What surprised me most was that the mall actually had a section dedicated to Buddha statues, allowing people to bathe them. After leaving the mall, I randomly went into a small shop that was almost entirely frequented by Thai people and didn't even have an English menu. Surprisingly, the food was quite delicious. The real long part was about to begin. The bus ride from Chiang Mai to Bangkok took a full nine hours. The seats weren't comfortable, the air conditioning was ridiculously cold, and there was even water dripping from above my seat. At first, I wondered why they gave out blankets on the bus, but then I realized—without that blanket, I probably would have frozen to death. Finally arriving in Bangkok, after taking the MRT, I looked at the map and thought my accommodation didn't seem too far, so I decided to walk. But that walk… ...took another half hour. Dragging my luggage, buying some roadside barbecue, I finally arrived at my accommodation in Bangkok. From Chiang Mai to Bangkok, I've been on the move almost all day. "But leaving a city also means another journey has officially begun." Goodnight, Bangkok. 📍Chiang Mai 📍Chiang Mai Arcade Bus Terminal 📍Chiang Mai Arcade Temple 📍Bangkok 📍Bangkok MRT #ChiangMai #Bangkok #ThailandTravel #ThailandBus #ChiangMai #Bangkok #SlowTraveler ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The world is vast; there's no need to rush to arrive.
