Wanchese NC Paddle

Paddle from the NC Hwy 64 near Manteo NC to Wanchese Area. Manteo is the tourist side of Roanoke Island. Wanchese is the commercial fishing and boat building side of Roanoke Island. We did ~ 10 mile loop down the Pamlico Sound. Then took the marsh maze into Wanchese Bay. Followed the bay to Wanchese and around to the Wanchese Harbor. Saw a few fishing vessels, and a lot of big boats. A couple of big boat builders are at the back of the harbor. We then took the sound side back to the ramp.
