Committee Report: MSMEs in India | 26 September, 2026

The Department-related Parliamentary Standing Committee on Industry has undertaken a detailed examination of various issues related to the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises or the MSME sector in India..recognising its vital contribution to employment generation, entrepreneurship, manufacturing, exports and overall economic growth. The committee has made several significant observations and recommendations aimed at strengthening India’s MSME ecosystem. The Committee has focused on ensuring time-bound implementation of Budget announcements, improving access to credit, enhancing export competitiveness, strengthening institutional coordination, promoting technology and skilling, and making schemes such as PMEGP more inclusive and effective.
