The 400-Year Cycle: The Return Protocol

Every 400 years, a bio-mechanical custodian is reawakened on Velrath, the Threshold World, and dispatched to Earth for a routine assignment. Beneath an ancient pyramid lies a colossal gravitational shaft known as the Geodesic Potential Well. By dramatically amplifying gravitational acceleration while reshaping the spacetime geometry along a vessel's free-fall path, it allows the vessel to descend without propulsion and enter a passage connecting different reality domains within Experiment Universe 47. The well can lock onto the exit coordinates of TERRA-X-47E, but it cannot guarantee the same route each time. Shifting topological connections between reality domains constantly alter the path. As a result, every journey passes through different versions of Earth—worlds with their own histories, evolutionary paths, and fates. The custodian's purpose is to periodically recalibrate and maintain Earth's planetary-scale autonomous regulatory system. Since its creation, its existence has consisted of little more than these assignments and the worlds encountered along the way. After each mission, it returns to dormancy. Its destination, however, never changes: TERRA-X-47E, the world it was created to maintain. For countless cycles, the assignment has remained unchanged. But on this return, TERRA-X-47E no longer matches its last recorded state. An Abyssal Entropic Form has spread across much of the planet, consuming molten matter from deep beneath its surface. And for the first time, the protocol may no longer be enough... Thanks for watching!
