In Part 2 of my John Deere 4100 three-point lift repair series, I rebuild the MITA hydraulic control valve and share what I found inside, including a stuck sensitivity spool and questions about component orientation. I begin with an overview of the valve components and how they work together to raise, hold, and lower the three-point hitch. Then it’s on to the hands-on rebuild: disassembly findings, cleaning, replacement O-rings, and reassembly. By the end of this episode, the valve rebuild is finished and ready for installation back into the rockshaft housing. If you’re following a John Deere 4100 three-point hitch repair or want a closer look inside a MITA control valve, follow along with the findings and challenges from my repair. Make sure to Subscribe so you don’t miss Parts 3 (Reassembly of Rockshaft), Part 4 (Installation of Rockshaft Assembly onto Tractor), and Part 5 (Final Assembly and Adjustment).
