Create complex, automated Civil 3D assemblies using our custom-built subassemblies, fully integrated into the Civil 3D Tool Palette. These subassemblies allow you to build dynamic assemblies that automatically adapt to changing design conditions in every cross section. Features include independent subbase superelevation, automatic shoulder or berm creation depending on whether the design is above or below the existing terrain, automated drainage, cut-and-fill geometry, and much more. In addition to full automation, users can quickly select specific sections of the road and independently control geometry of left and right sides. The automatically selected solution can be easily overridden wherever required, giving the designer full control over local conditions. Different types of berms, shoulders, and other roadside elements can be created, stored and applied directly within the Civil 3D drawing in single assembly, with clearly defined layout view, exactly where and when they are needed. This combination of automation and manual control provides a flexible corridor workflow that adapts to terrain and design conditions while significantly reducing repetitive work.
