Making effective safety recommendations to the employer - explained! One of the duties of a joint occupational health and safety committee is to make recommendations to the employer to make safety related changes to the workplace environment. This is done to rectify safety deficiencies or to make recommendations that will benefit the overall health and safety of the organization and the members of its community. Another reason is it provides an environment for the workforce both management and employees to actively participate in the health and safety program. The question however is how to make effective health and safety recommendations to the employer? How to make safety recommendations that will be considered by the employer and be implemented? We all want to be safety influencers making safety change!
