There is a strange stage of change where the old life no longer feels like yours, but the new one has not fully appeared yet. You know you cannot go back to exactly who you were. Certain relationships, goals, routines, and ways of living have already lost their hold on you. But when you look forward, there may still be nothing clear enough to call your next chapter. In this video, we explore that uncomfortable space between endings and beginnings. Why does the past become more attractive when the future is uncertain? Why can leaving something behind feel wrong even when you know you no longer belong there? And why do we feel so much pressure to immediately replace what ended with something new? Sometimes the hardest part of transformation is not leaving. It is living for a while without a clear identity, direction, or destination. The old chapter gave you structure. It told you who you were, what mattered, and what tomorrow might look like. When that structure disappears, freedom can initially feel a lot like emptiness. But this space may be doing something important. You may not know exactly what you want yet, but you are becoming clearer about what you can no longer repeat. Certain compromises no longer feel acceptable. Certain goals no longer motivate you. Certain patterns no longer feel normal. And sometimes that is how the next chapter begins. Not with a dramatic revelation. But with a series of quiet decisions not to rebuild the life you already know you had to leave. You may not have arrived anywhere new yet. But if you can no longer live honestly inside the old chapter, the transition has already begun.
