Hamptonne Country Life Museum | Jersey Channel Islands | August 2026

Join me for a relaxing walking tour around this beautiful historic country farm estate, where Jersey’s rural past comes to life. The site dates back to the 15th century, with the main historic buildings representing different periods of Jersey’s rural history, including the 17th-century Langlois Building, 18th-century Hamptonne House and 19th-century Syvret Building. As we wander around the quiet farm on a warm afternoon, we explore the historic buildings and step inside rooms that have been carefully staged to show what life would have looked like during the different eras. It’s a fascinating glimpse into Jersey history, traditional farming and rural life. There are plenty of chickens wandering around the grounds, although unfortunately there are no calves or pigs at the moment, as the pigsty and cow shed are currently being worked on. We’ll also take a peaceful stroll around the grounds and cider apple orchard, have a look at the Hamptonne Country Café, visit the gift and souvenir shop, and discover the children’s play area.
