▶ This session
“Two hours felt short. Three hours felt like a lot to promise.”
“Somewhere between them is where most real sessions actually land.”
“150 minutes. Start the clock and go.”
Session design: 40Hz gamma, wide room, rounded mids.
Same mix philosophy as our 2- and 3-hour sessions — just a different length.
Visual: Smooth Wave scene with an original motion layer “Aurora Net” — a procedurally generated loop (Python/numpy, no stock footage), composited at 45% for this session only.
40Hz GAMMA binaural beats for deep focus, studying and productive deep work.
Headphones strongly recommended.
No mid-roll ads — nothing interrupts the session once it starts.
▶ About this session
40Hz GAMMA binaural beats, 150 Minutes, uninterrupted
Left ear 196.00 Hz · right ear 236.00 Hz → the 40 Hz beat is the difference
your brain perceives (stereo headphones required)
Soft ambient pad and pink noise to reduce ear fatigue
Great for studying, coding, reading, writing, ADHD focus and long work sessions.
▶ How this is made
Audio: every tone is synthesized from scratch with mathematical waveform generation —
sine-wave frequency arithmetic, written in Python and rendered offline.
No AI music generation, no stock loops, no third-party samples.
Visuals: built around an AI-assisted hero brain artwork, animated and composited
procedurally from the same codebase.
⚠️ Effects vary between individuals. This is not medical treatment.
Do not use while driving or operating machinery.

▶ About the science (and its limits)
What you hear here is a binaural beat: each ear receives a slightly different steady tone
(the exact left/right frequencies are listed above), and the beat is the difference your
auditory system computes. It is not the 40 Hz sensory stimulation — flickering light and
pulsed sound, real on/off stimulation — used in the gamma-entrainment studies that drew
attention (Iaccarino et al., Nature 2016, from the Tsai lab; Hajós et al., Frontiers in
Neurology 2024). Those findings should not be read as evidence for binaural beats.
Research on binaural beats themselves is active but preliminary and mixed: some studies
report small gains in attention, others none, and one found reduced performance on a
learning task (Klichowski et al., Scientific Reports 2023). Reviews of auditory gamma
stimulation also note that the most effective frequency differs from person to person,
and that the ideal listening time is not settled.
Treat this as a consistent, distraction-free listening environment for focused work —
not as a treatment or a guaranteed cognitive boost.

▶ How to listen
Stereo headphones required — the beat only exists between your two ears.
Keep the volume low (30-50% is plenty) — it works just as well quietly.
▶ FAQ
How long should I listen? As long as you're working. New to binaural beats? Start with 30-60 min.
Feeling sleepy instead of focused? Try a 14Hz Beta session: (see the 14Hz Beta playlist on the channel)
Headache, ear ringing or any discomfort? Lower the volume or stop — this is a focus aid, not a treatment.
