Jane Wanjiru was born and raised in Gatanga, Murang'a County. Life was never easy for her growing up. Her family faced extreme hardships, and because of the difficult circumstances, she was unable to complete her education. She only managed to study up to Class Four. As a young girl with very little education, life was challenging. Believing that marriage would offer a better future, she got married in a nearby village to an only son. At first, life seemed stable because her husband's parents supported the young family. Together, they were blessed with three children. However, tragedy struck when her parents-in-law were involved in a fatal accident and lost their lives on the spot. After their death, her husband's behavior changed drastically. He became bitter and abusive. The suffering and physical abuse became unbearable, forcing Jane to leave her matrimonial home and return to her parents' home. Over the years, Jane's life took many difficult turns. Today, she is a mother of thirteen children. In her story, she shares the journey of how she came to have all her children, each from different fathers, as she struggled to survive and provide for her family. Life has remained a constant struggle. Jane and her children have faced rejection from landlords, close friends, and even relatives. Despite all these challenges, she continues to fight for her children's well-being. Currently, Jane and her children are living in the conditions shown on the screen.
