During our Japan trip, we travelled from Osaka to Kobe and spent the day exploring this charming port city, known for its scenic mountain views, international influences, beautiful gardens and delicious food. We started by exploring Kitano, a charming historic neighbourhood famous for its beautifully preserved Western-style houses (Ijinkan), European architecture and picturesque streets. Next, we experienced the Kobe Nunobiki Ropeway, taking a scenic ride up the mountainside with spectacular views of Kobe city and the harbour. At the top, we explored the beautiful Kobe Nunobiki Herb Gardens, enjoying the landscaped gardens, seasonal flowers and peaceful surroundings. We also visited Kobe Chinatown (Nankinmachi), one of Japan's most famous Chinatown districts. Its colourful streets, traditional Chinese gates, lively atmosphere and tempting street food made it a wonderful stop.
