Today we have baby mittens. They are so cute and small. If any of you are planning on making these for your baby or one you know, please let me know how the sizing works out. I don't know any babies to try these on so all of these are just guess measurements. I hope you guys enjoy this one. Thanks for coming back and watching! Items Used: Boye Aluminum Double Pointed Needles size 4 (3.5mm) Baby Bee Sweet Delight Prints Yarn in Kitty (3ply light, 60% Acrylic, 40% Polyamide) Stitch Marker Tapestry Needle Gauge: 24 sts and 36 rows = 4" in stockinette stitch Size: Approx. Newborn to 3 months Measurements: Cast on edge to tip = 3 1/4" Around = 3 1/2" Instructions: Cast on 22 sts Rib: Work K1, P1 rib for 5 rows Body: Knit every row, forming stockinette stitch (in the round), for 15 rows. Decreases: Row 1: *SSK, K to last 2 sts, K2tog; rep from * around. Row 2: Knit Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until 10 sts remain. Cut yarn. Weave through sts, pull tight closing top. Secure inside mitten. Finish off any ends and enjoy. Abbreviations: k = knit p = purl ssk = slip, slip knit (left slanting decrease) k2tog = knit two stitches together (right slanting decrease) st = stitch = repeat pattern from indicated symbols *
