Purple Power Hour: Game Plan—Todd Heap and Dennis Pitta Preview Ravens-Browns

AFC North football is upon us, and both Dennis Pitta and Todd Heap are back with Kirk & Huber to cover all of it in our newest episode of Purple Power hour! With Lamar Jackson set to miss another week, it will be Tyler Huntley under center for the Ravens, who went a perfect 11-for-11 on Baltimore's final two drives of regulation and overtime, helping engineer a win against the Falcons.. Todd and Dennis explain why the Ravens' confidence in their backup quarterback—and the way the entire team rallied around him—could prove extremely valuable if Lamar needs more time to recover. The conversation then turns to Todd Monken's return to Cleveland. Having previously worked with the Ravens, Monken knows Baltimore's personnel extremely well, including Huntley's strengths and weaknesses. Todd and Dennis discuss whether that familiarity gives Cleveland an advantage and why the Ravens need to be prepared for a Browns team with plenty of motivation. The crew also examines Baltimore's keys to victory against Cleveland, including the health of the defense, the Ravens' secondary, getting pressure on Deshaun Watson, and taking advantage of a Browns offense that has struggled to protect its quarterback. They also discuss the importance of minimizing turnovers and letting Huntley manage the game rather than asking him to carry the entire offense. The guys also take a trip around the NFL, breaking down controversial late-game decisions, clock-management disasters, coaching pressure, and other news throughout the league. The Purple Power Hour features exclusive Ravens analysis every Monday and Friday with two of the most accomplished tight ends in franchise history. 📻 Listen live on 97.9 FM and the 98 Rock app. 📺 Watch new episodes right here on the 98 Rock YouTube channel.
