Canada's New Invention turns plastic waste, old tires, and everyday garbage into graphene, the strongest and most conductive material ever discovered. Could this Canadian waste-to-graphene technology really end landfills forever?
In this documentary, we explore Universal Matter and its Flash Joule Heating technology, developed from research by Professor James Tour at Rice University. In less than a second, a surge of electricity heats waste carbon to about 3,000 kelvin, burns away impurities, and forges the remaining atoms into turbostratic graphene. We look at how this graphene could make stronger, lower-carbon concrete, upgrade recycled plastics, power next-generation EV batteries and supercapacitors, and turn waste facilities into high-value materials plants by 2050.
