TUK 3432 on Bus Route U5

In this video, I take a ride on the U5 from Uxbridge down to Hayes. Not quite a full length journey but close enough, plus I've already done it end-to-end. The U5 is a decent route, but its allocation is pretty uninspiring. TUK only have two batches of Enviro400EVs ordered, the Walworth batch and these. At least the U5 got these back as it was temporarily allocated Electroliners which is even more boring. One non-EV tends to do the route daily however, be it a smart hybrid or an Enviro400 hybrid from the 278's allocation. I completely forgot the route has a 50mph section before serving Stockley Park. I'd like to see how the diesels/hybrids perform along that section, or just on the empty back roads of Uxbridge and West Drayton in general as this route can pick up some decent speeds. Route U5 runs between Uxbridge and Hayes & Harlington. The route is allocated Enviro400EVs, is operated by Transport UK and runs from their Dawley Road (DH) Bus Garage. © 2026 Jayden Emmanuel.
