The ENTIRE History of NVIDIA in 14 Minutes

A kid who cleaned toilets at a Kentucky boarding school starts a company at a Denny's with $40,000, nearly goes bankrupt 30 days from the end, bets a decade on software nobody understood, and ends up running the first $5 trillion company in history. This is the ENTIRE history of NVIDIA, from the Denny's booth to the NV1 flop, GeForce, CUDA, AlexNet, ChatGPT, and the AI boom. 🚀 Subscribe to CEOzoned for the complete history of the world's biggest companies. 💬 Which company or person should we break down next? Drop it in the comments! 📌 IN THIS VIDEO Jensen Huang was born in Taiwan in 1963 and was sent to the US at nine, where he ended up at a rural Kentucky boarding school cleaning the bathrooms. After studying electrical engineering at Oregon State and working at LSI Logic and AMD, he met Chris Malachowsky and Curtis Priem, and in 1993 the three started NVIDIA at a Denny's in San Jose with about $40,000. Their first chip, the NV1, flopped in 1995 because it used curved surfaces while the industry went with triangles. A $5 million investment from Sega kept the company alive when it was about 30 days from going broke and down to roughly 35 people. The 1997 RIVA 128 brought the comeback, followed by the 1999 IPO and the GeForce 256, the "world's first GPU". NVIDIA then outlasted 3dfx and ATI and won the Xbox deal. In 2007 Jensen bet on CUDA while Wall Street hated it and the 2008 crisis crushed the stock. In 2012 AlexNet trained on two NVIDIA gaming cards and kicked off the AI era, followed by the DGX-1 delivery to OpenAI, the crypto boom and bust, RTX, and the failed Arm deal. Then ChatGPT launched and the H100 became the most wanted chip on Earth, taking NVIDIA past 1, 2, 3, and 5 trillion dollars. The video ends with the risks (TSMC, export restrictions, rivals) and the lesson behind it all. #NVIDIA #HistoryOfNVIDIA #JensenHuang #AI #CompanyHistory New company history videos on CEOzoned.
