Discover Mussaylha Fort (also known as Mseilha Fort / قلعة المسيلحة), one of Lebanon’s most distinctive historic monuments, located in Hamat near Batroun, above the Nahr el-Jawz valley. Mussaylha Through History explores the fort’s strategic origins, its 17th-century architecture, defensive system, relationship with the surrounding landscape, and the transformations that have affected the site over time. The documentary also presents the Conservation & Rehabilitation of Mussaylha Archaeological Site Project (2023–2025), including architectural conservation, rehabilitation works, visitor safety and accessibility improvements, interpretation, and the first comprehensive digital documentation of the fort using aerial photogrammetry.
