Amid intense US and Israeli attacks on Iran, Iranian leader Mohsen Heydari has made a major claim about Iran’s new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei. In an interview with Qatar-based television network Al Araby, Heydari claimed that Mojtaba Khamenei was being treated at a hospital that was bombed by the United States. He was reportedly pulled from the rubble after the attack and later taken to another hospital. According to Heydari, three hospitals in Tehran were targeted, with Mojtaba reportedly being at the third hospital. US intelligence reports have suggested that Mojtaba suffered serious facial injuries, although conflicting claims about his actual condition continue to circulate. According to reports, Mojtaba Khamenei was secretly selected as Iran’s new Supreme Leader on March 8. Members of the Assembly of Experts reportedly recorded their votes before entering a secure room, with Mojtaba’s name allegedly proposed first. The secret selection process has fueled international speculation.
