From his early days with the Belmonts to the swaggering call-of-the-wild magnificence of The Wanderer, Dion's music has always bravely reflected the times, none more so than this powerful lament for recent fallen president JFK and his brother Bobby and the great civil rights leader Martin Luther King. This mesmerising solo performance from 1969 is folk music at its finest.
