In this video, I’m working through a 600-hour inspection on an MD500F helicopter and giving you a look at what goes into maintaining one of these aircraft. I walk around the helicopter with the panels and components opened up, covering the C30 engine, compressor wash, landing gear, flight controls, torque tubes, trim servos, avionics, tail section, tail drive system, main rotor area, and engine air filters. This is a behind-the-scenes look at some of the things a helicopter mechanic looks at during maintenance on an MD500. I’ll point out some of the components, inspections, and things I look for while working through the helicopter. If you're interested in helicopters, aviation maintenance, aircraft mechanics, or the MD500/500F, consider subscribing for more hands-on aviation maintenance content. Thanks for watching.
