***CORRECTION: The deep navy/indigo eyeshadow I refer to as Inspiring throughout this video is actually Inspired. The application and techniques shown are unchanged.
Can you add color to an evening makeup look without making the whole look feel overly colorful? In this tutorial, I’m creating a soft neutral evening look with a pop of navy and indigo inspired by the colors in the dress I was wearing.
I start with Noble, a golden brown eyeshadow, as the main neutral color and then add Inspired, a deep navy/indigo shimmer, as eyeliner. It gives the eyes a noticeable pop of color without covering the entire lid in blue.
You’ll also see a little real-life experimenting along the way. I originally planned to use Serene as my blush, decided it looked too muddy on my skin, and instead used it as a soft brontour color before switching to Affectionate for the cheeks. For the lips, I combined Striking with Affectionate to create a natural rosy shade that worked better with the finished look.
