Some FWISD schools made major gains. Others lost ground. What will make improvement last?
While 8 campuses gained 15 or more points in a single year, we also had 25 campuses declined by at least one letter grade. Examples: Diamond Hill Elementary rose from a D to an A, while Carter Park Elementary fell from a C to an F. Eight schools also broke their streak of unacceptable ratings.
Dr. Soliz, the Deputy Superintendent/Chief of Schools also outlines the districts “Cow Town 12” instructional framework, emphasizing classroom routines, checks for understanding, practice, and rigorous work.
Literacy Fort Worth is watching. Our work identifying struggling readers with dyslexia must lead to instruction that responds to their needs. Will FWISD turn these classroom expectations into consistent, lasting progress for every student?
