Make Your Own Muppet Puppet: The "Monstie" Build (No Sewing Machine Needed!)

Ever wanted to build your own Muppet-style puppet? In this tutorial we'll walk you through making "Monstie" — a compact, one-arm-rod monster puppet that's comfortable to hold and endlessly customizable (swap the eyes, add a nose, teeth, or a tongue — the possibilities are endless). In this video you'll learn how to: • Cut and sew Muppet-grade fleece and fur • Build and stuff the hands and arms, then attach the arm rod • Shape reticulated foam and elastic bands for grips for the mouth • Assemble and wet-fit the mouth plate • Attach 3D-printed eyes and clean up seams for a polished finish Whether you're a total beginner or have some sewing experience, this build is designed to be approachable — hand-sewn, no machine required.
