23. Cracovia Maraton - 19.IV.2026 - Cracovia marathon in Krakow, Poland

The water station on the other side of the road was 12.5 km from the start. I think handbike and wheelchair competitors had a 5-minute head start. Last year their head start was 10 minutes. The fastest handbike competitors are about twice as fast as the fastest runners. Conscientious runners went out of their way to deposit trash in the bin below my camera. The race has a time limit of 6 hours, and a time limit of 3 hours to get to the halfway point, if it was like previous years. The best greetings to the camera are at 25:23 and 36:40. There were a couple of costumes that I've seen in previous races. 32:14 shield, mask, spear 44:27 Asterix(?) At 34:05, there is an inflatable horse. Maybe I haven't seen this before. I think there was an inflatable dinosaur in the Sylwester run (5 or 10 km) 16 or 28 months ago. With the five-hour pace balloons, there is a runner wearing a cap who apparently has enough breath to entertain fellow runners by reciting a story while running a marathon. I've seen him before -- most recently, he was in the half-marathon a few weeks ago. In recent races, I've seen runners carrying full-size flags. This time, the only flag I noticed was a little Polish flag on a little flagpole on a cap at 57:14.
