Tiger Canyon: Where tigers roam free and wild

Tigers living in South Africa sounds absurd, but in truth they are thriving right here under our African sun at Tiger Canyon in the Free State. Roaming wild and free on 6100ha of Karoo landscape, 17 tigers call this canyon home. Placed 4th on the endangered wildlife list, there are less than 4500 tigers left in the world. Tiger Canyon is home to the only wild white tigers on the planet. The population has grown since their arrival in South Africa 22 years ago, making it a conservation success story. A cheetah breeding programme has also recorded growth in numbers. The reserve offers guests luxury accommodation perched high above the canyon. The tigers live wild, hunt free and roam vast.
