The Suffering Savior & the Coming King

On Resurrection Sunday, Pastor Curt pauses our regular series to focus on one of the clearest moments where Jesus foretells His mission. In Mark 8:31–32, Jesus plainly tells His disciples that He must suffer, be rejected, be killed—and rise again. It was not an accident. It was the plan. At His first coming, Jesus fulfilled dozens of prophecies through His life, death, and resurrection. But the story is not finished. Scripture points forward to His second coming, when He will return in power and glory to reign as King.
