Ahrtal 2025 - Fly like an Eagle

This video was made on May 1st 2025. As I was standing on the parkingplace above the small town of Ahrweiler, close to the vineyard of Peter Kriechel, I realised that less then 4 years ago, the entire valley was flooded like a big bathtumb and due to a combination of extrem weather and ignorance of those who were political responsible, over 130 people lost their lives and thousands of people lost everything they had. It took days untill the full amount of the catastrophe became visible and for those, like me, who were not there, it is still something we cannot imagine. If you wathc the video, take a few moments to think about all the blessings you have and be greatfull for them, becuase they can be gone in a short instance. The song used for background is "Fly like an Eagle" from the CD "Above Wild Water" by Bruce, Besch and Bramkamp and used by permission.
