Conservation Spotlight - Detroit Draw Down

Join us for a conversation with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers fisheries biologist Greg Taylor as we discuss the Detroit Dam drawdown and what it means for fish, river ecosystems, and local communities. We’ll explore the science behind the drawdown, its role in supporting downstream habitat, and how fisheries experts are working to balance environmental stewardship with the dam’s many uses. The Conservation Spotlight is a radio segment shining light on partnerships and programs for natural resources that airs on the third Wednesday of every month at 8 AM as part of the weekly Willamette Wake Up radio program on KMUZ 100.7 and 88.5 FM. Marion SWCD shares the Spotlight with Polk SWCD.
