Is Yaxel Lendeborg the Warriors' Next Big Star? — Jimmy King

Warriors fans are asking one big question right now: who steps up next to Steph Curry? With Jimmy Butler sidelined, rookie Yaxel Lendeborg is suddenly in the spotlight. Michigan Fab Five legend Jimmy King joins 95.7 The Game to break down what he sees in the Warriors' newest big man and why the hype might be justified. King believes the modern NBA is a perimeter game with less physicality and almost no post play. That means rookies can make an impact faster than guys from his era. He also gets into whether being an older draft pick hurts a player, how today's young stars have trainers and nutritionists while his generation ate fast food, and how Yaxel can learn from champions like Steph Curry and Draymond Green. King thinks Yaxel will have some special nights, including possible 40 and even 50 point games, once the Warriors' system becomes second nature. Topics discussed include: Is Yaxel Lendeborg adjusting to the NBA faster than expected? Why rookies can make an impact earlier than in the '90s Does age really matter on draft night? Learning from Steph Curry, Draymond Green and Jimmy Butler Can Yaxel be the Warriors' secondary scorer? Defense, big-man matchups and why you should read the scouting report Do you agree with Jimmy King's take? Is Yaxel the real deal, or are we getting ahead of ourselves?
