Custom quilting an alma mater quilt

A simple quilt made with university logo prints is enhanced with machine quilting of mascots, traditions, lettering, ruler work and contrasting thread color. Inspired to feature your alma mater in a quilt? Start collecting motifs now and leave negative spaces for them. This quilt utilizes ditch quilting, channel quilting (the diagonal lines), freehand overall and outline quilting, ruler work with a pattern meander, a big meander in sashing, and digital lettering. Also, 3 motifs were sized, made into line drawings and transferred onto tissue paper to be stitched over. This top was made by Vivian Newman as a gift.
