AlwaysOn Availabiltiy Groups and HADR_SYNC_COMMIT wait

SQL Server AlwaysOn Availability Groups have become the most common High Availability technology used with SQL Server. They provide zero data loss in configurations when synchronous commit is used. Unfortunately, synchronous commit may introduce major and unexpected impact in the systems. This short video explains and demonstrates the issue.
