Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and built in 1938-39 for the Herbert Fist Johnson Jr. family. It’s shaped like a four-winged pinwheel and spans approximately 14,000-square feet. It is located Racine, Wisconsin, and set in a 30-acre property with a wooden ravine and a series of ponds and lagoons. Unfortunately, my visit was in late November so the plush exterior greengage is not apparent, which includes the 80-year-old grapevines growing on its original cypress terrace.
