come spend a cozy weekend with me as an international student in the UK 🤍🇬🇧 this weekend was all about the little things — grocery shopping, cooking for my friends, spending way too much time in the kitchen, and hosting a cozy dinner together 🥹 being away from home has made me appreciate food so much more, especially being able to cook the dishes I grew up eating and share them with people around me. so for dinner, I made two very simple comfort dishes: ABC soup and Chinese tomato & egg 🍲🍅🥚 ♡ WHAT I COOKED ♡ 🍲 ABC SOUP • chicken • carrots • potatoes • sweet corn • tomatoes • onion • water • salt to taste Add everything to a pot with water, bring it to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer until the chicken is cooked and the vegetables are soft. Season with salt and enjoy ♡ 🍅 CHINESE TOMATO & EGG • tomatoes • eggs • spring onions • cooking oil • salt • a little sugar • a splash of water Scramble the eggs first and set them aside. Cook the tomatoes until soft and juicy, season with salt and a little sugar, then add the eggs back in.
