While exploring remote Tanzania, what started as a normal day quickly became one of the most intense experiences of our Africa travel adventure. While searching for somewhere to relax, two local kids chased our motorbike trying to grab our fruit, forcing us to leave and continue deeper into rural Tanzania. We eventually discovered a remote lake in the middle of nowhere, where we unexpectedly came face to face with members of a local African Tribe. We had no idea what they wanted or whether we were safe. Eventually, we made friends with a girl called Virginia, shared some fruit and experienced a side of local life in Tanzania that most tourists never see. Then a huge tropical rainstorm arrived, completely soaking us and forcing us to ride back through the countryside, cross a river and try to make it home safely. This is Tanzania travel off the beaten path.
