The Last One Awake | Animated Horror Story

On the old passenger boats that go up the Amazon, two hundred strangers sleep in hammocks on one open deck. The crews have a rule they don't print on the ticket: never be the last one awake. An animated horror story from Tales of Gritz, Case 007. A ticket arrives at Dina's clinic, paid in cash, in a name almost nobody knows. On the back, one line in pencil: "Can you sleep?" The boat's night watchman vanished on its last trip. His ten-year-old daughter is on board, and she stays awake every night on purpose, because her father always comes to check on her. Gritz hasn't slept through a night in twenty years.
