MOROCCO PART TWO 🇲🇦 | FES & MARRAKESH | HISTORY, SACRED SITES & BUSTLING SOUKS

Our Moroccan adventure continues! 🇲🇦 This time we travelled to the incredible city of Fes, stepping into what felt like another world as we wandered through the maze of narrow streets, bustling souks and colourful markets of the ancient Medina. We visited Al-Qarawiyyin, founded in 859 and often described as the oldest continuously operating university in the world, before visiting the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss II, the revered founder of Fes and one of Morocco’s most important historical and spiritual figures. We continued exploring the incredible souks of Fes, soaking up the sights, sounds and atmosphere of the Medina, before stopping at the city’s famous Blue Gate, Bab Bou Jeloud. Then it was back to Marrakech, where we visited the beautiful Bahia Palace and spent more time experiencing the sights, sounds and flavours of Morocco. And of course, no trip would be complete without the food! We tried some incredible local Moroccan cuisine along the way and got to experience even more of the culture and everyday life that makes this country so special. Fes was chaotic, fascinating and completely unforgettable – definitely one of the highlights of our Moroccan adventure.
