15 месяцев работы… и ЭТО меняет всё

After more than a year of slow progress, THIS is the week our house finally starts to look like a house! The walls and trusses are going up, and after 15 months of working on our owner-built kit home, we're finally able to walk through the rooms we've been imagining for so long. In this episode, the builders arrive and put up the walls in just one day. We walk through the entire house for the first time — checking out the bedrooms, bathrooms, laundry, rumpus room, kitchen, living, dining and our future master bedroom. We also discover a couple of issues with the prefab wall frames, talk through some of the design decisions we've made along the way, and watch the veranda posts and beams start to go up. After spending so long looking at nothing but footings, stumps, joists and subfloor, we're finally about to see the full height and scale of the house. This is one of the biggest milestones of the entire build so far, and honestly, it's pretty surreal finally standing inside the home we've been working towards for so long.
