"What does it cost us... for you to be free?" 1778. Immersed in political strife, invaded by a violent agenda, Shawnees and all the Ohio Tribes must face the reality that something has changed, and with news of a letter carried by unwanted land surveyors, their world is soon to be upside down. Director's Statement: As an homage to the dignity and pride of American Indian peoples who resisted the American Revolution, this film will show you a side of history that's not ever been seen before. -Filmed at historic sites, present day Greene and Clark Counties Ohio, the Shawnees' homelands. -The characters speak the Shawnee language thanks to our language consultants, Eric and Aubree Wensman (Shawnee Tribe). -The dress of our cast is actual 18th century fashion, coordinated by our Shawnee historical expert, Jeremy Turner (Shawnee Tribe). -All the Native peoples' roles were cast with citizens of federally recognized Tribal nations.
