You can cruise along the beautiful backwaters and it is such a refreshing experience. Whenever you plan a trip to Kerala, definitely keep a houseboat experience in your itinerary. It is absolutely worth. Mine was a 5 hour shikara boat experience and it costed me Rs.7000. This was the time when Christmas was about to happen in Kerala, so I might have been charged a little more as it is difficult to get a houseboat on that day.
