here is the easy care cycle on the bosch serie 4.
the machine begins heating with faster tumbles as soon as enough water has been loaded. it does take in slightly more water compared to cotton, this is more like drum rim level where cotton is a bit lower and varies with the load as well.
the machine increased time slightly which was a sensible move for the load i gave it. this is one feature that BSH have which most others don't. the time indicated is the maximum length for the intended load size. if you load more than this, it can and will adjust the cycle length (and sometimes water levels) to account for the additional load. i have heard negative reactions to this but i personally don't understand why it's viewed like this. if you choose the right cycle for your load, it will not affect you. BSH are just ensuring good performance with this feature.
this cycle performs 3 door seal level rinses with short 800rpm interms. the second interm had some trouble balancing, which could have been reduced if the machine had reverse tumbles as part of the balancing logic. but at least the machine is smart enough to attempt going into spin using the movement sensor to assess the level of imbalance. more water is extracted by doing this so it should help a bit with balancing.
the final spin is 1200rpm max but in the video i was trying to figure out if it had limited or not. turns out it did limit to 1100rpm for whatever reason. i guess it didn't like the balance it spun, despite being successful on only the 4th attempt.
energy usage for this cycle was 0.915kWh.
