How to Play With and Against 3 Archetypes.

In this 40K Fireside video, Dave breaks down the new archetypes emerging after the latest balance update and the release of the Space Marines codex. We look at the rise of Terminator deathball lists, including Space Marines, Deathwatch Terminators, Assault Terminators, Guilliman, Calgar, Bladeguard, and similar narrow builds that rely on a few extremely durable units to dominate the centre of the board. Dave then walks through how to actually beat these lists: using uppy-downy, rapid ingress, backfield pressure, big hammer activations, increased detection range, stacked debuffs, and focusing down one major unit at a time rather than spreading damage across multiple bricks. We also cover the rise of World Eaters all-in pressure, including Angron, large Berserker units, overrun plays, and how to use cheap units, spacing, shooting castles, and counterpunch pieces to stop them from collapsing your army in one big turn. Finally, Dave looks at fast shooting armies like Sisters, AdMech, T’au and other builds that can stack buffs, apply debuffs, and bring enough damage to actually handle the current durable meta.
