Girls Like Us

Raven Monroe feat. Britney Spears — “Girls Like Us” (Official Music Video) The official music video for “Girls Like Us,” Raven Monroe’s playful, affectionate collaboration with Britney Spears. Forget the red carpets. Forget the cameras. Sometimes you just need your best friend, comfortable clothes, too much junk food and a brutally honest conversation about men who absolutely do not deserve this much discussion. The video finds Raven and Britney hiding away in an impossibly pink bedroom for the ultimate girls’ night: painting their nails, raiding the fridge, trying on clothes, dancing around the room and comparing increasingly ridiculous stories about their romantic lives. Musically, “Girls Like Us” blends Raven’s R&B warmth with Britney’s unmistakable turn-of-the-millennium pop sound, built around the chemistry between two friends rather than vocal competition. Their conversational verses eventually collide in a huge sing-along chorus celebrating friendship, questionable taste in men and the women who help you laugh about both. RAVEN MONROE feat.
