Medit i900 Mobility Speed Test - How Fast Is iPad Scanning? | iDD

The Medit i900 Mobility inherits the same optical system, accuracy, and scanning performance as the original i900, but in a completely wireless package that connects directly to an iPad. Rather than simply adapting desktop software, Medit built Medit Link Express from the ground up as a native iPad app, and it shows. Scanning felt fluid, responsive, and in some ways smoother than running on a Windows laptop. With its large 18 x 15mm field of view (one of the biggest in the scanner market), full-arch scans complete quickly and efficiently. The wireless implementation introduces no noticeable performance penalties, which was my biggest concern going in. The iPad handles all the post-processing on-device and syncs everything to your Medit Link cloud account. I'll be honest, I was skeptical about whether an iPad could keep up. It exceeded my expectations. The simplified Medit Link Express interface actually contributes to the scanning experience feeling faster, because you're not fighting through feature bloat to get your scan done. The trade-off? At around 320g with battery and tip, it is heavier than competitors like the Elite Wireless (194g) and the TRIOS 5/6 (~300g). And the physical dimensions are larger than any other wireless scanner on the market. Whether that matters more than iPad-native workflows is a decision each clinician has to make. 📖 Read our full in-depth Medit i900 Mobility review here https://instituteofdigitaldentistry.c... 📺 Watch our original Medit i900 Classic review    • Medit i900 Classic - Unboxing, Overview + ...   📺 Watch our Medit i900M Unboxing & Complete Overview    • Medit i900 Mobility (i900M) Unboxing & Com...   📲 Let's be social!
