Why I Feel More at Home in Costa Rica Than Jamaica

Have you ever visited a country and instantly felt like you belonged? For me, that place is Costa Rica. Welcome back to Nate In Yo' State! In this video, I'm breaking down exactly why Costa Rica feels like a second home to me as a Jamaican-American. From hearing Reggae and Dancehall playing everywhere across San José, Jacó, and Limón, to the incredible, welcoming energy of the people, Costa Rica just hits different. I'm also getting real about the differences in family dynamics. Sometimes, being in Costa Rica feels more genuine because the people there just want you around for your presence and good vibes. It’s a huge contrast to the "business" and barrel requests that sometimes come with visiting family back in Jamaica. It’s all about protecting your peace and chasing that positive energy! Have you experienced this kind of cultural connection in Latin America? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏾 Make sure to like, subscribe, and hit the bell for more travel stories.
