The Election (13th Anniversary Release)

It's Throwback Thursday! And we have a doozy for you. Filmed in 2013. Edited in 2017. Music composed in 2026. This film has been with the school since 2013, the dawn of Will McAllister's teaching. Written by East Hollywood legends Tony Madrid and Allen Garcia, the hard work that went into making this fun and elaborate high school set film noir was unable to be shown to the world when so much time went into shooting and the semester ended before students had time to edit it. Determined to have this movie see the light of day, Will pitched the editing thereof to the Advanced Editing Class, taught by the also legendary Josh Wagner in 2017. And a picture-lock was created... But, there was no music. Finally, nearly 10 years later, and 13 years after the movie was first shot, Nick (also a legend) Foster's students wrote, performed, and recorded an amazing soundtrack. And now, finally, with pride East Hollywood High presents what seemed to be long lost: THE ELECTION.
