Downton and walking its waterways.

Downton village is down in the south of Wiltshire, close to the bordering county of Hampshire. It's situated on the main route between Salisbury and Bournemouth. The village is surrounded y flood plains as the River Avon snakes it's way through the village crossing through several points which once powered the mills for various production. We'll skirt round Trafalgar House and estate, once owned by the naval officer Horatio Nelson's family, before stopping off for lunch of a traditional west country Ploughman's.
